Queenie
Dog of the Week--"Queenie"--ID#1581423
Woof Woof! My name is Queenie! I am a sweet tan and white "Pibble" mix little girl who is only about a year old--just a puppy! I love everyone, and I seem to get along with other dogs, too!  I am very well-behaved for my age--I passed all my tests here at my shelter with flying colors.  I love toys and love to play.  I am ready to be someone's walking or hiking buddy and constant companion. Can you come meet me today and take me home?

Love,

Queenie

Pick Me!

Who is RCACP?

The Regional Center for Animal Control & Protection (RCACP) is an open intake facility accepting stray and lost animals from animal control officers and the public, as well as owner relinquished pets, from the City and County of Roanoke, the County of Botetourt, and the Town of Vinton. The RCACP posts pictures of lost or strayed animals on their website, www.rcacp.org, to make it possible to search for a lost pet online. Contact the Regional Center for Animal Control and Protection (RCACP) for the Roanoke, Virginia, area and to report a lost or found pet. Call (540) 344-4922.

Adopting a Friend

Once an animal has passed his/her required holding time at the facility to allow the owner to reclaim him/her, the RCACP works with the Roanoke Valley SPCA, rescue groups and other shelters to place available animals in suitable homes. Animals who are housed at the RCACP that are posted on the Petfinder.com website have been deemed available and can be seen by visiting the center Monday - Saturday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Once an adoption request is placed, an appointment will be made to complete the adoption through the RVSPCA. Each will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped before being adopted. To place an adoption or rescue request, or for more complete information, please email us at  or call (540) 344-4922. Be sure to give us the animal's ID number to assure your name is on the right pet.
