MEOW! I'm Shiloh, and I am only about a year old! I am a gorgeous silky black domestic short hair kitty guy.  The folks here at the shelter think I would make a wonderful outdoor/indoor pet.  I am already neutered and ready to go to my new home.  Why don't you come on down to the shelter today to meet me!  I am a real sweetheart, and I would love to go home with you today.  My adoption fee will be waived (FREE) with your approved application!

Purrrrrrr,

Shiloh

Shiloh is searching for a "furever" or foster home and family.  Come down and meet this sweetie today! You must submit an application along with your request to hold your place in the order requests are received. Before adoption, all pets are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, heartworm tested, and microchipped.  The RCACP's hours for adoption are 11:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Saturday. Woof! Woof! I'm Aurora. I am a super cute, wiggly and happy 2-year-old "Pibble" mix. I am a sweet girl who loves to be around people. I love to sit in your lap like a person.  When I am happy, I love to smile.  My favorite thing in the whole world are squeaky toys, well maybe my second favorite because I love belly rubs even more!  I am an energetic gal who would make a great running or walking partner.  Come and meet me today.  I am packed and ready to go home with you.

Love,

Aurora

Pick Me!

Who is RCACP?

The Regional Center for Animal Control & Protection (RCACP) is an open intake facility accepting stray and lost animals from animal control officers and the public, as well as owner relinquished pets, from the City and County of Roanoke, the County of Botetourt, and the Town of Vinton. The RCACP posts pictures of lost or strayed animals on their website, www.rcacp.org, to make it possible to search for a lost pet online. The website also contains a lost and found database that allows someone who has lost a pet, or someone who has found a pet, to post information on the animal to help reunite the pet with his/her family.

Adopting a Friend

Once an animal has passed his/her required holding time at the facility to allow the owner to reclaim him/her, the RCACP works with the Roanoke Valley SPCA, rescue groups and other shelters to place available animals in suitable homes. Animals who are housed at the RCACP that are posted on the Petfinder.com website have been deemed available and can be seen by visiting the center Monday - Friday between 11:30 - 5:30 pm and Saturday 11:30 - 4:00 pm. Once an adoption request is placed, an appointment will be made to complete the adoption through the RVSPCA. Each will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped before being adopted. To place an adoption or rescue request, or for more complete information, please email us at  or call (540) 344-4922. Be sure to give us the animal's ID number to assure your name is on the right pet.
