WTF, Vinton! 💩
WHAT TO FLUSH (WTF) AND NOT TO FLUSH: We know finding toilet paper has been somewhat difficult lately, but please remember not to flush anything other than water, human waste, and toilet paper! EVERYTHING else needs to go in the trash.
Just because the package says “flushable” or “septic safe” doesn’t actually mean it is. Paper towels and wipes, including those labeled “flushable,” don’t disintegrate like toilet paper. While toilet paper breaks down in anywhere from a minute to four minutes, WIPES CAN TAKE UP TO EIGHT DAYS to dissolve! When these items are flushed, they accumulate and block pipes and pumps. Aside from sewage potentially backing up into your home, flushing anything other than toilet paper, reduces the effectiveness of our wastewater system and treatment facilities.
Please also dispose of your Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as masks and gloves properly in a trash can. Do not litter and do not flush them down the toilet.
