Living with Water: The Future of Flood Insurance in Virginia - Open House

The Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR), the Virginia Department of Emergency Management (VDEM), and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Region III are inviting the public to attend the Living with Water: The Future of Flood Insurance in Virginia Open House event on Monday, Dec. 9 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Charles R. Hill Community Center, located at 820 Washington Avenue, Vinton, VA 24179.
This event will provide area residents and property owners with information about flood risk and insurance coverage in Virginia, as well as programs and resources available related to flood risk and mitigation. Residents can check out informational tables from federal, state and local staff to discuss flood risk, maps, insurance and hazard mitigation measures. Interested parties are encouraged to register for this free event online. Registration is not mandatory but encouraged.
