Zorro
"Zorro"--ID#1098007
Zorro is an awesome cat looking for his "furever" home. Zorro is a beautiful, silky, black cat who is only about a year old.  He even comes with his very own theme song!  Fans of the TV show, Zorro, will remember...  "Out of the night, when the full moon is bright, comes the kitty cat known as Zorro!  This bold renegade carves a 'Z' with his blade.  The 'Z' that stands for 'Zorro'!  Zorro--the cat so cunning and free!  Zorro!  Who makes the sign of the 'Z'!   Zorro!"   Now, who wouldn't want a cat with his very own theme song?!?   But hey, don't let his theme song fool you.  Zorro's sweet, loving, playful and ready to come home with you today!  The adoption fee will be Zero, Zip, Zilch for Zorro with your approved application.  Check him out at the RCACP's off-site adoption center at Petsmart on Franklin Road today!

Zorro is one of the many beautiful cats and kittens who are waiting to find their "furever" homes at Regional Center for Animal Care and Protection (RCACP) and their off-site center at Petsmart Franklin Road in Roanoke.  Stop by or make an appointment to meet them today and find out just what Sigmund Freud meant when he said, "Time spent with cats is never wasted"!

Pick Me!

Who is RCACP?

The Regional Center for Animal Control & Protection (RCACP) is an open intake facility accepting stray and lost animals from animal control officers and the public, as well as owner relinquished pets, from the City and County of Roanoke, the County of Botetourt, and the Town of Vinton. The RCACP posts pictures of lost or strayed animals on their website, www.rcacp.org, to make it possible to search for a lost pet online. The website also contains a lost and found database that allows someone who has lost a pet, or someone who has found a pet, to post information on the animal to help reunite the pet with his/her family.

Adopting a Friend

Once an animal has passed his/her required holding time at the facility to allow the owner to reclaim him/her, the RCACP works with the Roanoke Valley SPCA, rescue groups and other shelters to place available animals in suitable homes. Animals who are housed at the RCACP that are posted on the Petfinder.com website have been deemed available and can be seen by visiting the center Monday - Friday between 11:30 - 5:30 pm and Saturday 11:30 - 4:00 pm. Once an adoption request is placed, an appointment will be made to complete the adoption through the RVSPCA. Each will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped before being adopted. To place an adoption or rescue request, or for more complete information, please email us at  or call (540) 344-4922. Be sure to give us the animal's ID number to assure your name is on the right pet.
